Brotherhood

"Mickey...?" Oswald asked, look down with tears threatening to fall at any moment.

Mickey glanced overhis right shoulder with his eyebrows pointed into a crease, showing he wasn't very happy at the moment.

"...What?..." Mickey replied. Oswald's tears finally fell from the puddle they were creating in front of his eyes and aimed his head even further down than they already were.

"Mick..." he paused. He paused for a moment to take in everything that was happening.

Mickey's wanting to leave, Mina, Ortensia, all of it. His brief pause ended as he continued speaking. "I-I'm sorry I just-" another pause.

This pause was to look up at Mickey who dipped his head to the left as if it were to make Oswald not be able to see his tears. Or maybe to hide all of the bottled up anger he had, boiling up into his thoughts again.

Tears of blood hit the ground with a plop. Seeing as Mickey had looked as if he made his decision, Oswald crumbled and his knees fell to the ground, as he gripped a couple of blades of dying grass in his glove.

"NNGH!" They both seemed to be going through a hard time right now. Mickey was confused. Was he leaving? That would be better for everybody. Nobody else would get hurt, and he knew that if he was gone, Oswald and Ortensia would take care of Mina and his kids.

But could he really bring himself to do it? Leave his true love and the two new beings whom he shared a last name with? He was torn. Completely in half.

"MICKEY PLEASE!" Oswald shouted. Still on his knees, he grabbed his chest as if he was in pain. But he really WAS in pain. His heart had become heavy, filling with sorrow and becoming a depressing shade of black.

The tears continued streaming down his cheek as he continued to talk to the Count, who had, during their entire conversation, stayed completely silent.

"You're my brother...my ONLY brother...And after driving so many people away...I-I can't lose my best friend!" Oswald told him. He wasn't wrong but Mickey wouldn't completely agree with him. They did have a brotherly bond, but he wasn't the only one he shared a relationship like that with.

Now, Mickey was turned, completely in Oswald's view. If he were to look up that is. "Are you sure about that?" the mouse asked. "Because right now, I'm unsure of who are my friends and who are my foes!" he exclaimed.

Oswald twisted what Mickey said into a question, not wanting to take the obvious hint Mickey was giving him. To save himself from having a meltdown, he just asked a simple question in return, unsure of what else to say.

"Count...what are you talking about?" Oswald asked. Mickey fell for his way of playing dumb. Or was it possible he was just playing along?

The vampire turned again so only the right side of him was visible to his so-called companion. "When we first met, you wanted me dead. We've been through so many battles, fighting at each others side. And this happens. Now, I'm not sure whether I call you my brother..." he too took an effective pause to look at Oswald, who had finally looked up from his glare at the swaying grass.

"Or my enemy" he finished. Oswald couldn't believe anything he was hearing. His heart felt even heavier than before and every time he took a step to approach Mickey, his chest hurt worse.
Kay... So I'm making a comic based on twisted-wind's comic Count Mickey Dragul and this is the first and second page. Anyway, tell me what you think.
