She chased me.

“I'm gonna get him!” she growled. She was on her knees and crawling around, trailing not even 3 feet behind.

With each bulky step I took, the old, hardwood floor vibrated under the carpet. I was never really, per say, ‘light on my feet’ in the short years I’ve lived.

I ran.

I giggled and anticipation rose in my chest when I stopped and she was almost at my feet. I ran away again, and stood in my room.

Then she stopped. Slowly, I crept from behind my hamper and she was waiting for me at the trim of my door.

I smiled and we made eye contact. She remained still until she screamed and turned away from me.

My mother eyed me strangely, but she shrugged it off and continued into the dining room.

She looked at back at me and crawled away, and out of nowhere, I heard a thud. I knew that was my sister’s hiding place.

I tittered a little and stomped into my mother’s room.

Boom. Thud. Boom.

She popped out from between the small chair and the corner of the bed with ease, not even needing to squeeze her shoulders through the packed space.

“I’m gonna get him!” she warned again.

Boom. Thud. Boom.

I was loose again. Eventually, she caught me.

She looped a finger in the loop of my khakis and pulled me back. I loved it when she did that.

She sent my diaphragm rolling in from laughter and stood up.

“Don’t go tripping on your pants there, little frog.” She pulled up my pants and kissed my forehead. I shivered a little.

“Let’s go wait for mommy and daddy in the living room.” She suggested. I tried to reply, but all that came out was random sounds. My sisi smiled at me, and tapped me on the nose.

When she gave me her finger, I wrapped my tiny little hand around it with an unyielding grip. Her index finger was surprisingly cold. Never the less, my grip stayed firm.

She lead me into the dining room with my mother dressed in all black and candles illuminating light on the wooden table.

“Time for little frogs to eat their dinner.” She picked me up and set me in my highchair, all the way across the table from my mother.

On my tray lay 3 baby carrots, 5 pieces of chicken cut up and sautéed with onion; I could taste the onion, they weren’t there; and a box of apple juice.

In my tiny fingers, I picked up a carrot and took a bite. As I did so, my mother started to weep.

Slowly I brought the carrot back down on the tray and swallowed the chewed up carrot in silence.

My head cocked every direction as I looked for my sister but she wasn’t there. My mother was still holding her face in her hands. Every now and then, she would sniff and cause he shoulders to jerk up.

“Sisi” I called out to her. I waited for a response. The room stayed silent. I wiggled, trying to get out of my chair and without luck, slouched into the seat.

In the meantime, I looked around the dining room. The only light in the room was coming from lit candles, and a giant picture of my sister sat next to the table.

Next to the picture, there was an urn perching on a shelf with more pictures with my sister in them.

My father never did join us. My mother never stopped weeping. I never found my sister.

The next day, my mother was still dressed in black and in the car, I gazed out the window, trying to guess where we were going.

I was taken out of my car seat, dressed in a small white shirt covered in a black vest, black pants, and black dress shoes.

The scene in front of me was nothing but stones in the ground, some with flowers, stuffed animals, and pictures in front of them.

Setting me down, my mother held my hand on the stroll all the way to a stone at which we stopped. She handed me 3 roses and pointed to the front of the stone. I followed her finger to find yet another picture of my sister and her name engraved in the center.

Her name is the only thing a know how to spell. I carefully set the flowers down as the sky grew gray and I waved.

My sister appeared by my side, although my parents didn’t seem to notice. I looked at her and happily said “Hi.”

She embraced me and stood up from where she was kneeling. She was still cold. She turned in the direction of the stone and began to walk into it. She stopped in her tracks and waved.

I stared at her and said 2 of the 3 words I knew how to say.

“Buh Bye”
I was in a really bad mood the day I wrote this, and forgot about it til I went to write another story. In that bad mood, I saw my little brother Grayson, and thought of how I promised him I would never let anything happen to him. In this short story, I stuck to my promise. If I get anyone in a depressing mood, I'm sorry.

Seems like it could be a creepypasta. This was amazing!
